About Shrug Life
What is Shrug Life? In 2009 a group of strangers from all walks of life, across a newly budding platform known as Twitter, met for the first time, digitally. Before the time of profile picture projects, From NY to Indiana to California and everywhere in between, Shrug Life was born.
#ShrugLife is for when you need a balance in the midst of the chaos, or your natural reaction might be to shove instead of shrug. Something was created that helped friends become family while giving everyone the simple reminder that sometimes it's ok to just .. shrug it off.
All of it.

12 years later, through the growing technology of NFTs, we are excited to welcome YOU to Shrug Life including all original members! (Shout out to Rusty, Thess, Kinetik, Dolly, Fee, Eddie, and the rest of the gang) Never just a motto, Shrug Life is now 4,444 collectible PFPs that incorporate incredible, original artwork from 12 artists and one photographer, most being artists that have been on the 4Thangs Podcast with your host (and project lead), GM (@4ThangsPodcast)!
The foundation has been laid by a group of creatives, DJs, Hip Hop artists, collectors, and most importantly... Actual, real life humans. 16% of sales from this project will go to original Shrug Life members at sell out (most of who have recently set up a wallet and are going to onboard into the NFT world through this project!) They say "Bet on people, not projects". We agree. For 12 years now we have done just that and it's brought us to this moment with all of you. We couldn't be more excited to teach you how to shruggie 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️

What is 4Thangs Podcast?
4Thangs Podcast, started back in May 2021, and is the first Hip Hop x NFT x Pop Culture podcast hosted by long time creative, hip hop artist, collector and Shrug Life OG, GM! (Yes, that's his name for the past 20 years, we can't make this stuff up 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️)
After 250 episodes co-hosting The Blind Box, GM returned to help give a platform to digital, street and NFT artists everywhere.
Since returning, 4Thangs has been the crossroads of NFT x Hip Hop x Pop Culture while contributing to the NFT Community by having over 20-30 Profile Pic (PFP) projects on the show, as well as over 40 artists, some of which have stepped up and hit a home run with a contribution or two to the Shrug Life NFT collection!
This collection will bring you exclusive content from the artists connected with 4Thangs, exclusive content both IRL and virtually, and gives you a chance to support an organic, entertaining show that has been putting in the work from Day 1.
Without an NFT connected to 4Thangs we have existed for the past 6 months. No active Discord. No influencer hype. No cheap engagement tricks. Just quality content with quality people archived on Spotify, iTunes, Amazon and more!
